Discover the rich history and culture of Czech Republic – spend time in Prague, Brno, and Krutna Hora. Explore Prague, a city with a fascinating history and a dazzling array of architecture. Journey to UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kutna Hora and sample the famed wines of the Moravian wine region. In Austria, journey to Salzburg, Linz and Vienna. Retrace the footsteps of the Von Trapp Family on a Sound of Music Tour in Salzburg. Discover the charming Ceske Krumlov before heading onwards to finish the tour in breathtaking Vienna.

Discover the allure of Prague, a city with a fascinating history dating back over a millennium. Tour the UNESCO World Heritage city on foot and by bus, traversing the cobbled lanes and gazing upon the rich architecture of the 5th most visited European city. After an extensive tour of the city, you’ll attend the Estates Theatre for Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro.

Free Day

The Czech Republic is known to have some of the world’s finest beer. Centuries of brewing tradition coupled with a burgeoning artisanal beer scene have combined for a wealth of delicious beverages. Explore the city and find a spot to sample some of the regions finest beers. Prague is known for an abundance of cultural, artistic and historical treasures, some of which you are bound to discover on this free day.

Visit Kutna Hora

Iguassu Falls: a stunning natural collection of over 300 waterfalls that lies on the border between Brazil and Argentina. Enjoy spectacular views of the area before venturing to Devil’s Throat for an even closer glimpse of these mighty falls.

Lecture & performance of The Cunning Little Vixen

Enjoy a morning lecture before taking some time to relax and enjoy the amenities. Attend an evening performance of the enthralling The Cunning Little Vixen at the Czech National Theatre.

Day 7

Brno

Smetana's The Kiss at the Národní Divadlo v Brně

Varying dramatically from Prague, Brno is the second largest city within the Czech Republic and brims with youthful energy and experimentalist architecture. Relax this afternoon before attending Smetana’s The Kiss at the Národní Divadlo v Brně.

Tour South Moravian Wine Country

Tour the rolling hills of South Moravian Wine Country. Indulge in a fine selection of local wines from the region which produces the vast majority of Czech wines. This evening, attend a performance of Rossini`s Comte Ory.

Travel to Salzburg

Welcome to Austria. After a day of travel, enjoy a free evening.

Sound of Music day tour

Visit many of the locations filmed in the 1964 classic “The Sound of Music” Retrace the steps of the Von Trapp family as you experience the breathtaking and iconic views in and around Salzburg.

Free day

Your day is free to explore the town of Salzburg, internationally renowned for its baroque architecture and one of the best-preserved city centres north of the Alps. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, and also the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Explore during the day before travelling back to Paris in the 17th century with an evening performance of Hindemuth’s Cardillac.

Salzburg

Visit Berchtesgaden

Discover the quaint city of Berchtesgaden, nestled in the south-eastern portion of the German Alps. This city gained notoriety within modern history as the location of “The Eagle’s Nest”, Adolf Hitler’s mountain retreat. En route, discover the iconic salt mines of Salzburg. Tonight, enjoy Strauss’ A Night in Venice.

Linz

Travel to Linz and visit Ceske Krumlov

En route to Linz, visit the beautiful village of Český Krumlov. Wrapped around the Vltava River, this town houses a wide range of stunning architecture, including Baroque, Renaissance and Gothic. Arrive in Linz and enjoy an evening celebration for those returning to Canada.

Fly home to Canada. Arrive back in Canada after a wonderful tour through South America.
