After graduation from University of Western Ontario, Dorothy Hollingsworth’s first foray into international travel began in Frankfurt, Germany on a German teaching fellowship. After a successful career in education, she became a driving force for Know The World Tours, which she founded in 1991 with her late husband, Bill Nobleman. Following three diplomatic missions that Bill and Dorothy made to China in the 1980’s, Know The World Tours was conceived. Initially they organized tours to China but quickly expanded to all six continents where thousands of Canadian professionals were introduced to their counterparts. She was also influential in launching Know The World’s inbound business which has brought thousands of Chinese professionals and business people to Canada. When not travelling, she enjoys playing bridge, musical events, theatre, and establishing philanthropic endeavours at her alma mater.
